The fire that started in 1848 is now ours to carry.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆... 𝗴𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻.

As women’s rights in the U.S. continue to be stripped away—both blatantly and covertly—I felt the need to re-anchor.

So I took an impromptu road trip to Seneca Falls, New York—the birthplace of the women’s rights movement.

The last time I stood here was seven years ago, delivering two speeches to honor the 170th anniversary of the first women’s rights convention:

🗣️ One inside the Wesleyan Chapel, where it all began.
🗣️ And the keynote—delivered beneath the mural etched with the words that launched a revolution:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men AND women are created equal."

Just like then—my mom stood beside me.

My entire life she has taught me the importance of service, advocacy, and the responsibility to both.

At 82, she’s still embodying it. Still showing up. Still teaching me what legacy looks like in motion.

This time, I didn’t come to speak.
I came to remember.
To reignite.
To refuse to become numb.

Because what those women did in 1848 wasn’t just historic—it was radical.
They dared to demand what no one had before.

And I refuse to let their work be undone.

If you’re part of ChangeNation™, it means you feel it too.

That weight. That urgency. That quiet voice inside that says,

“I was made for more than this.”

The women of 1848 weren’t louder or braver than you.
They were just unwilling to stay quiet.

They made their voices heard.
They put their names on the line.
They lit a fire that still burns inside every one of us.

Now it’s your turn to carry it forward.

This Week’s Spark: Your Turn

🪞 Reflection Prompt:
What’s one truth you believe so deeply, you’re no longer willing to stay silent about it?

🔥 Action Spark:
Declare it. In a conversation. On paper. On social.
Use your voice. Name what matters.
Because change starts with a single, radical demand—just like it did in 1848.

Keep Standing Up & Speaking Out for What Matters!

She didn’t just swim the Channel. She shattered a barrier. I watched a film this past weekend that left me speechless. Young Woman and the Sea tells the true story of Trudy Ederle—the first woman to successfully swim the English Channel in 1926. The distance alone is staggering (21 miles). But what moved me most wasn’t the miles she swam…It was everything she had to overcome just to get in the water. She was told she couldn’t.That women weren’t strong enough. That her body wasn’t built for...

And here’s what I believe:Discomfort isn’t the enemy. It’s the call to rise. It’s the invitation to create...
