You Weren't Built for Silence - This Moment Needs You Now

When Discomfort Rises, So Does Our Power

Let’s name the truth right up front.

This is an uncomfortable time to be a woman who cares deeply—about equity, justice, and the state of the world.

The headlines don’t stop.
The setbacks feel relentless.
And the pull to stay silent, stay small, or stay out of the fight?
It’s getting louder.

I know you’re feeling it.
Because I am too.

And here’s what I believe:
Discomfort isn’t the enemy.
It’s the call to rise.
It’s the invitation to create meaningful change—rooted in your values, fueled by your fire.

This moment is calling for a different kind of leadership—one that starts from within.

🔥 The kind that doesn’t wait for the perfect title or permission.
🔥 The kind that honors who you are, what you care about, and the change you feel called to make.
🔥 The kind that knows: systems don’t shift unless we push.

This Is How Women Change the World—From the Inside Out

🔥 Name the discomfort.

Where is it showing up for you?
Is it the frustration of stalled progress?
The ache of seeing things unravel?
The pressure to carry it all alone?

When you name it, you create space to move through it.

🔥 Reconnect to your conviction.

What breaks your heart? What makes you furious?
What vision do you hold for a more just world?

That’s your compass.
That’s your fuel.
That’s where your power lives.

🔥 Lead from where you are—with what you have.

You don’t need to lead a movement to create one.

You lead when you:
— Challenge injustice in your workplace or community
— Build new models where old systems fail
— Use your voice, your platform, or your privilege to open doors
— Care deeply and take action, even when it’s uncomfortable

This isn’t performative leadership.
It’s transformational leadership.
It’s social change—sparked from the inside out.

This Week’s Spark: Your Turn

💥 Reflection prompt:

Where am I feeling the most discomfort right now—and what is it asking of me as a changemaker?

💥 Action Spark:

Write down ONE area where you want to create impact this month.
Post it somewhere you’ll see daily.
Let it guide your voice, your choices, and your courage.

Here’s what I know:

This is not the time to disappear.
It's time to dig in.

We don’t have to be fearless.
We just have to stay rooted in what matters and keep showing up—together.

ChangeNation™ is the space for that.

For the discomfort.
For the messy middle.
For the women who refuse to give up.

We’re building the next chapter of change—one courageous act at a time.

She didn’t just swim the Channel. She shattered a barrier. I watched a film this past weekend that left me speechless. Young Woman and the Sea tells the true story of Trudy Ederle—the first woman to successfully swim the English Channel in 1926. The distance alone is staggering (21 miles). But what moved me most wasn’t the miles she swam…It was everything she had to overcome just to get in the water. She was told she couldn’t.That women weren’t strong enough. That her body wasn’t built for...

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆... 𝗴𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻. As women’s rights in the U.S. continue to be stripped away—both blatantly and covertly—I felt the need to re-anchor. So I took an impromptu road trip to Seneca Falls, New York—the birthplace of the women’s rights movement. The last time I stood here was seven years ago, delivering two speeches to honor the 170th anniversary of the first women’s rights convention: 🗣️ One inside the Wesleyan Chapel, where it all began.🗣️ And the...
